Accommodation/Lodging during SliderAsia
SliderAsia provides NO accommodation to participants, however, as we encourage participation of international delegates, we offer 7-night hostel lodging for free to all international delegates on limited first-come-first-served basis.
Jockey Club Student Village III
The University of Hong Kong
9 Lung Wah Street, Kennedy Town
Male and female delegates will be lodged on different designated floors in the building. All rooms are air-conditioned 24 hours daily with clean pillow, blanket and bed sheets provided. Self-service laundry is operated on prepaid basis at very economical cost. Each floor has a communal pantry equipped with hot and cold drinking water supply, hot plates, microwave oven, refrigerator and television. Communal washrooms and shower stalls are available on each floor.
These hostels are just located around 5km and 5 MTR stations away from the festival venue (i.e. Admiralty <> Kennedy Town) in 20-25 minutes including walks. If you travel by MTR, it costs HKD7/journey (or HKD6.2 on Octopus card); if you travel by tram, it costs just HKD2.3/journey.
For those who are unable to register early before the lodging offer runs out, you may also look up other options as well. There is a good number of hotels of different grades on reasonable offers around the venue area – Wanchai. We recommend you to look up online or request us for assistance if needed.
You may also look under agoda.com, hotels.com, orbitz.com or booking.com which gives you a good selection too. Check for either Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty, Causeway Bay even the Tsim Sha Tsui areas, or anything along the MTR Island line (i.e. blue line) which are all easily accessible to the HKAPA and having a good selection for your choice.
It will be particularly easier if you can form a group yourself among SliderAsia participants of your country and share facilities together. This will give you a significant cost advantage.
